I think there needs to be a universal metric for success. It needs to cover a number of attributes and it needs to be clearly defined.
This will help in two ways:
- To help determine if you’re actually a successful person or not.
- To help you know who you need to listen to and emulate for your own success.
Until then however, you determine successful, using your metrics and attributes. These can be based on what you think successful people should have AND you don’t need to listen to anyone else’s opinion because they can have their own metrics.
There’s nothing left to do then, except for you to go and be successful.
