More or Better?

At some point we equated more to better.
More money and more things meant we were happier and had better quality of life.
Does this mean that potentially we could approach infinite quality if we had more stuff?
Or instead, does more quality mean more quality?
Pursuing more quality by chasing more quantity is not only an endless pursuit, but a lazy one as well.
